The Age Business Day: Wednesday 28 March 2018

Drive-through liquor retailers rarely come with a demolition clause but 510-512 Hampton Street, on the corner of Littlewood Street, did.

Leased to Ian Marks Cellars' Thirsty Camel outfit, the property with a clause in place sold for $4.94 million on a low 3 per cent yield and record land rate. The hotly contested Teska Carson auction fielded seven bidders, including local and offshore parties, George Takis and Fergus Evans said. The property, plus demolition clause, was leased for five years with two further options for $150,000.
